The latest retailer tip in the great iPhone 5 release date conjecture game of 2011 sees Best Buy pegging the long-rumoured handset for a 21 October release.

The tip comes by way of This Is My Next, which received a screengrab of a memo that details an early start time on that date, in an event titled “Apple Fixture Installation”.

According to the anonymous source, the same kind of out-of-the-ordinary timings were put in place for the iPhone 4 retail release.

Cygnett Lavish iPad case

The Cygnett Lavish iPad case is an odd beast.  To look at, it’s somewhat stylish and if you’re wanting to protect your swishy little gadget, you want more than just a skin.

To start the case features protection for the front and rear of the iPad, with a magnetic clasp to keep it shut when Apple‘s baby is not in use.  The cover on the front is reinforced to help protect the screen from knocks, bumps and scratches and the interior’s micro-suede lined, to ensure the casing will never get a mark on it from day to day use and transportation.

Mophie Workbook

As an iPad owner, I want to keep my gadget dust free and protected.  There’s a plethora of cases available and Mophie offer some of the higher quality offerings.

The Workbook, from Mophie, screams quality with its faux leather look and feel; which also allows for quite a decent level of protection against bumps and knocks without impeding on the overall portability.  Ports and buttons are easily accessible, with breaks between the various elastic straps, allowing you to charge, plug in headphones or simply turn the iPad on or off whilst it’s in the case.  A simple touch but one overlooked by so many.

LA Robe iPad review

You know how it is, you’ve just bought the ‘must have’ gadget of the moment but you’re so paranoid about scratching the thing when you’re moving from A to B that you need something to house it in.

Take the iPhone 4 for example, my brother in-law rushed out to grab one on release day but couldn’t get a case for it straight away as there wasn’t any solution out at the time to encase his beloved precious, so what did he do?  He carried it around in a sock!

Introducing the new Audéo Perfect Fit Earphones

The world’s leading manufacturer of innovative hearing instruments has turned its attention to the ‘MP3 generation’ utilising its extensive knowledge of the ear anatomy to develop new perfect fit earphones.

The new Audéo Perfect Fit Earphones (PFE), developed by Phonak AG, come with ergonomically designed foam tips which automatically mould to the shape of the wearer’s ear. This not only provides a comfortable, secure fit but can reduce unwanted external noise by up to 23 decibels* – the equivalent of ambient music in a restaurant or conversation in the background. This allows the wearer to enjoy crystal-clear sound quality at a lower, safer volume and reduces the risk of hearing damage.

Natal knows you live in a shed

There were rumours and concerns over Natal, when it was revealed that you’d need to be at least 13ft away from the camera in order for it to work properly.  A huge uproar cried out all over the internet, after all – how many people actually have 13ft of room clear in their living room (or whatever room you have your console in) to actually use Natal?  Compared to the average living room in the USA, Europe and Japan‘s rooms are tiny!
