March 23rd, 2011 EripmaV A plethora of iPod docks are available now days, most of them stick to the usual black finish and more often than not, they also look very similar. The Magicbox Tower is something of a beauty, with its metalic finish (in this case, a cool blue) and funky design.
Integrated within the stunningly designed and well built dock, is a DAB/FM radio, speakers, an alarm clock and obviously, a slot to place your iPod/iPhone snugly. For around £70, this is seriously feature packed, so how does it sound?

Yes, it sounds funny, but it also means the person wearing the shirt has to hold still and watch someone else (the person with the 3DS cameras pointed at the shirt) have an awesome time.

March 22nd, 2011 EripmaV A unified API helps games run on a broad spectrum of hardware configurations, but according to AMD‘s Richard Huddy it’s holding back developers. So much so, that realistically with today’s GPUs in the average PC, they hold within ‘at least 10x’ the graphical horsepower compared to the PS3 & Xbox 360.

AMD’s GPU developer relations manager, Richard Huddy claims that DirectX is ‘getting in the way’ of developers pushing top-end PCs to their limits.

Nintendo 3DS becomes most pre-ordered console of all time on Amazon.co.uk
Amazon.co.uk has announced that the Nintendo 3DS handheld console has become the most pre-ordered console of all-time on Amazon.co.uk, overtaking PlayStation 3 which previously held the record when launched in March 2007.
With a week still to go until launch, the new handheld console has 20% more pre-orders than PlayStation 3 achieved by launch date and 56% more than the previously most pre-ordered Nintendo console, Nintendo Wii, in 2006.
March 17th, 2011 EripmaV The average consumer thinks so, it seems. While a tablet’s not a new idea, the cramming of more and more powerful hardware into such a small formfactor allows the owner to do pretty much anything and everything that they would do on a traditional computer. However, lacking a keyboard and mouse, games suffer and let’s face it, you simply don’t get the precision needed via your finger, do you?
Whilst for me personally, a tablet would be a fantastic move but it’d never replace my PC. How about you? What do you think, would it replace your desktop/laptop?
