New iPad Revealed And Its Resolutionary

Yes, Apples Tim Cook has just announced the new iPad to the masses of tech enthusiasts and oh do we love it. Did they carry on the chronological order of numbering it the iPad 3 though? No, simply naming it iPad and its resolutionary!

Lets break down the upgrade into sections:

1) Upgraded Display:

Yes!, This is the main feature we wanted and oh is it stunning. Its been upgraded to a 9.7 inch Retina Display consisting of 2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi). To put this into perspective its four times the number of pixels than in the iPad 2 but in the same 9.7 inch space.

Nokia Rolls Out New Mobile Devices And Services

Are the advances enough to stop the onslaught of iOS and Android devices?  If Windows Phone can compete, both Nokia & Microsoft have a huge battle on their hands.  Having used various Windows Phones, I found them to be incredibly fast and good at what they do but minor quibbles put me off of them; like the camera not saving settings and resetting back to default for example, was truly irritating.

If you’re not after a Windows Phone, fear not as Nokia also have a slew of alternative offerings up their sleeves.

Are Sony Working On Kinect-Like Hardware?

The guys over at Kotaku have stumbled upon some very interesting (recent, too) patents filed by Sony, for Kinect like hardware.  Will the hardware be available for this generation of hardware or do they have a card up their cunning sleeves for the next?

So Nintendo recently unveiled that owners of 3DS handhelds will be able to use the Nintendo Zone from certain retailers and fast food chains.  Within the Nintendo Zone there’s exclusive downloadables, demos and videos, interested?  Fear not, you don’t have to venture outside of your home to gain access with a simple tweak!  Here’s how:

Simple workaround for anyone with basic knowledge of setting their router up. All you have to do is change your home network‘s SSID to “attwifi” and leave it unsecured. Turn on your 3DS and there you go, you’re connected to Nintendo Zone.

The Seagate Momentus® XT 750GB drive looks like any standard 2.5” hard disk with SATA interface. It does differ from standard hard drives in that it also contains 8GB of NAND memory alongside the spinning platters. Inbuilt Adaptive Memory algorithms cache frequently used data onto the flash memory for faster retrieval. This is independent of the operating system, so this will work as well with Windows and MAC systems. The combination of technologies offers faster performance and should compare well with the current generation of solid state drives, but at a much lower cost because of the conventional component.
