Seagate Momentus® XT 750GB Review

The Seagate Momentus® XT 750GB drive looks like any standard 2.5” hard disk with SATA interface. It does differ from standard hard drives in that it also contains 8GB of NAND memory alongside the spinning platters. Inbuilt Adaptive Memory algorithms cache frequently used data onto the flash memory for faster retrieval. This is independent of the operating system, so this will work as well with Windows and MAC systems. The combination of technologies offers faster performance and should compare well with the current generation of solid state drives, but at a much lower cost because of the conventional component.

Samsung Steps Up And Launches The Galaxy Nexus In White

Not a fan of white phones, at all.  I know they’re different from the norm that is black, but they just remind me (the crime against fashion) of white denim & who wears that?

Nokia Lumia 800 In White

The Win 7 mobile, although a critical success, hasn’t really set the world ablaze with its sales.  Are Nokia & MS right to strive on with the platform, or should they start again from scratch?

I’ve tested four Win 7 phones, from the Omnia 7 to the HTC Mozart.  My biggest gripe is that there’s no real difference in the GUI/feel between the different handsets, quite literally they all are seemingly (at least GUI wise) the same.  Microsoft needs to allow for flexibility in its platform, let hardware manufacturers have some degree of tweaking the look and feel of the OS rather than insisting that they all follow suit to one strict guideline.

Roberts STREAM 105 WiFi Internet Radio Review

Roberts Wi-Fi Internet Radio with Music Player –

STREAM 105

There is nothing more relaxing, more entertaining, than listening to some  great music on the radio. With the likes of John Peel and a whole host of iconic DJs long gone who played the kind of music I love and Bob Harris on at an ungodly time of the night on Radio 2 FM  and add insult to injury it isn’t easy to get a good clean reception the best alternative is DAB Radio …. WRONG. Living in a part of Kent or to be more precise in an area that offers variable reception -  good downstairs but nothing upstairs, frustration is never far away. The digital revolution may be with us soon but there is still huge pocket, with a dense population that cannot get a constant digital signal  stream but that is another subject for another day. Which brings it all down to digital radio………with internet radio offering the best option for connoisseurs  of world radio.
